Last Sunday I took a trip on the Hawaiian Railway. They have an amazing junkyard right next to the station. It's in a little village in south west Hawaii that time seems to have frozen...although they are building a costco now. The train ride itself was about an hour long and chugged past new housing divisions, golf courses, beautiful ocean and the Waianae homeless.

Love the image of the engine. I guess you all had a good time on that fieldtrip. I'm wondering if you have taken over the "organizer" position in the meetup group since Len has stepped down? If so, I'm also wondering if there are going to be any planned events in Jan. I'm expecting to arrive back on Oahu on Jan 6 and will be there until Ap 14, and would love to have some time to shoot with the other meetup members. I don't mind helping with the planning once I'm there. Let me know what's up and what you have in mind. Linda
